Martha's Ministry

Lord, give me sensitivity to people in their grief and pain, to weep with them and show Your love in ways mere words cannot attain.

Martha's Ministry of First Baptist Church is a service provided for the families of recently lost church members or regular attenders.

On the day of a funeral, the ladies of Martha's Ministry serve by providing the complete preparation of the main dinner for a family and their guests, either before or after the funeral service.  The meal is served in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church, Martin.

This ministry does not take the place of individuals providing food for the family.  This is to enhance what is already being done by members, Sunday School classes and circles of Women's Missionary Union. 

All of the ladies involved are blessed as they reach out in love and kindness to those families who are hurting. 

God wants us to share in the sorrows of others.  Martha's Ministry allows us to enter into the sorrows of others who

are grieving.

Martha's Ministry Motto:
