SURGE Purpose Statement:

Living as a S.U.R.G.E. of overwhelming influence, the Youth of First Baptist Church will be SERVANTS ministering with energy and effectiveness.  We will UNITE in fellowship as the body of Christ so that we may REACH out to plant the seeds of faith.  We will strive to GROW as disciples living in a consistent attitude of worship EVERYDAY.

Why Youth Ministry?

It is hard enough to be a teenager, but to do it alone is crazy.  FBC Martin offers time with God and time with teenage friends to make the walk through the teen years that much easier. 

I hope that you will consider visiting us on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. or Sundays at 9:30 a.m. for Bible Study.  On Wednesdays, we offer some of the best worship times each week that you will encounter.  The Youth lead worship with a Praise Band and the S.U.R.G.E. Singers Ensemble.

After our opening, we have Small Group Discipleship time to ask some open ended questions to get ready for the sermon.  It is a great time to get involved and meet a few more people your age.

S.U.R.G.E. is also a place where Jesus Christ is preached in a culturally relevant, engaging way during the Worship time.  I would love to meet you and get to know you better.  God deserves part of our busy lives, after all He created us to give back to Him.  Come give S.U.R.G.E. ministries a try.  We can ride the wave of God's love together.
