Missions

Check below for current mission opportunities locally here in Martin, across our state, in our nation, and around the world.  Here at FBC Martin, we believe it is our purpose and mission to live the Great Commandment and fulfill the Great Commission.

  • Local Missions (Martin)

First Loves Martin is an opportunity for our church members to serve the citizens of the city of Martin by completing various service projects in the area. We have a Saturday set aside in the spring and the fall to perform these service projects. The projects vary, and the time of each one is based on the current needs of individuals and the community. We invite you to join us in serving our great community.

  • Regional MIssions (Tennessee)

We have several opportunities to serve across our great state of Tennessee through partnerships with the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board, the Tennessee Baptist Children's Homes, and Catalyst Missions in Memphis.

Check back here for upcoming trips and mission opportunities for our children, youth, college students, and adults.

  • National Missions (ST. Louis)

We are currently in the process of building some new mission partnerships in the St. Louis area.

Check back here for more information about upcoming trips and mission opportunities to St. Louis in 2018.

  • International Missions (Ethiopia)

In Ethiopia, we partner with missionaries Rudy and Katie Gleason to care for orphans and vulnerable families by meeting their basic needs, while leading them in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Our goal is to help them in the areas of:

    • Orphan Care – Ministry work with local orphanages
    • Family Empowerment – Equipping the guardians of the family with vocational training to become self-supportive in order to provide basic needs and education for their family.
    • Evangelism and Discipleship – Equipping local pastors, ministry staff, and individuals.
    • Orphan Village – Building an orphan village to care for a fraction of the more than 5% of Ethiopian children that are orphans.
    • Audio Bibles – Helping to provide scripture in the form of Audio Bibles to the large percentage of impoverished Ethiopians who cannot read.
    • Family Sponsorships – Sponsoring children (and their families) in order to help educate them, meet basic needs, and get them the Gospel.
