SALVATION
Your friends at First Baptist Church urge you to receive Jesus as your personal Savior.
Jesus makes a true difference in our lives. Each of us was created in the image of God. This gives us tremendous value to God. And He loves us!
However, through the tragedy of human sin, we have become sinners. We sin by our nature. We have all chosen to disobey God in our choices. Our sin has built a barrier between us and God. The result? Separation, death, hell.
The Good news is this--Jesus Christ died to remove the barrier that separates us from God. Sin against a Holy God demands punishment. Jesus took our punishment for us when He died on the cross. His sacrificial death paid the sin debt which was too much for us to bear.
The way we gain forgiveness is to receive Jesus Christ into our hearts by faith. When we do, we are saved from the penalty of our sins. God's Holy Spirit enters into us. He gives us true purpose and meaning in life now and a confident assurance that we will live in heaven forever.
We strongly urge you to trust in Jesus Christ. And, when you
do, why not let
us know? We will gladly celebrate your salvation with you.
