preschool Mission Statement

FBC Martin Children's Ministry exists to help preschoolers and elementary age children live the Great Commandment and fulfill the Great Commission.


  • To equip children with Scripture: helping them to see how the entire Bible points to Jesus Christ and the gospel, and to live in obedience to Jesus Christ in service through His church (Bible).
  • To make disciples who are disciple makers (Discipleship).
  • To train children to live on mission for God and practice evangelism as a part of their everyday life (Evangelism).
  • To teach children about missions and provide opportunities for children to serve on the mission field within their community, nation, and world (Missions).
  • To foster fellowship and love among our children that reflects Jesus Christ (Fellowship).

As a ministry of First Baptist Church in Martin, Tennessee, Christian Wee Learn Center is dedicated to providing quality Christian care and developing each child spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially. It is our hope that the learning experiences here will be happy wholesome ones. As parents, you are cordially invited to visit us, ask questions, and make suggestions. The best assurance for the success of your child's experiences is the relationship of close cooperation and understanding between parents and staff. 


All of us at Christian Wee Learn Center are constantly learning more about children at every level. We are very active participants in workshops and training events and keep our CPR/First Aid skills up to date. With your child in mind we will continue our educational growth to give the best care possible. 


The center opens at 6:30 a.m. and closes promptly at 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and we care for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years. Our policy requires that all children arrive no later than 9:30 a.m. so they can have the opportunity to experience a variety of activities including art, free play, Bible stories, music, and other experiences geared to their developmental level. All of these experiences are designed to promote a child's awareness of the Christian faith, applications of Christian principles, and Bible teaching in every area of development.

    Join us on Sunday mornings at 9:45 for Sunday School. We have classes for all ages.

  • mission friends

    On Sundays at 6:00, our Children's Mission group meet. Our preschoolers are a part of Mission Friends. During this time, your children will hear about what God is doing through missionaries around the world. They will also learn how to serve God and tell others about Jesus in their community, nation, and world.

  • awana

    From 6:00-7:45 on Wednesday nights, AWANA meets for ages 3 years old (by August 15th) - 5th Grade. Through AWANA, your children will commit Scripture to memory as they work through their handbooks each week. A typical AWANA night consists of Handbook Time, Large Group Time, and Game Time.

    VBS is for ages 4 years old - 5th Grade. Come on out for a week of fun that includes Bible Study, Snacks, Crafts, Rec, Music, and Missions. We look forward to having you as we seek to learn more about God.
